☕ 🌟 Meet Chai! 🌟 🤝

Chai is a contemporary of Matcha's— hard-working, skilled at their craft, underpaid, plagued by Impostor Syndrome, and always wondering what exactly will happen next.

Chai is fully aware of their worth and has several of their own methods for overcoming a world that often feels stacked against them, but you know how it is: sometimes you just need to take a step back, call out for a day or two, and recenter yourself with a hobby, a playlist so close to your heart that no living soul will ever see it, and an extremely specific caffeinated beverage.

Chai was a big oekaki fan back in the day and, as times changed, went over to pixel art, doing most of their work in Clip Studio. It pays off but it is a lot of work. Chai loves group activities and can always find the energy to hang out with pals, but not always the time.

Hit: Escape rooms, excessively-thinky board games, wine that looks fancy but is actually like ten dollars a bottle.

Miss: Crowded trains, social media, that guy who apparently has never seen or heard of a goddamn turn signal before.

Chai is a consummate indoorsperson. Despite what they might tell you, they are a phenomenal dancer.

It is fun that this quilt started as I was drawing Chai separately for a piece of art for Sodor's monthly palette challenge. I wanted to introduce them then but I figured I would instead throw my cute little Fydo expy out into the world sooner than later. I hope they fit in!
