..He sat there, sneering at me in the dark. An enormous, purple, milkshake-guzzling mountain, and one with all of McDonaldland's resources in the palm of his bizarre, wristless hand. He took a draw of the last of his drink, filling the room with a wretched, nerve-wracking straw-gurgle.

"All that shit they pinned on the Hamburglar? That was me, Ron. All of it was me."

It made no sense. "But, city hall! The Hamburglar was--"

"Yeah. McCheese; a useful idiot."

And that was it. The mayor-- It all came together. I knew in that moment what the loose end was and it made my toes curl in my huge, red shoes. "H-- And how do I figure into all this, Grimm?"

The massive, grotesque whatever-he-is crushes out his cigar in a paper carton that formerly held a very unhappy meal for Birdie. "You? Hah." He scoffs a cloud of mustard-scented smoke, and his lazy, stupid eyes loll over to meet mine.

"You're just some clown."
