Kelpie, or water kelpie, is a shape-shifting water spirit inhabiting the lochs and pools of Scotland. It is a Celtic legend; however, analogues exist in other cultures. It is usually described as a black horselike creature, able to adopt human form. legend has it if you ride on the back of these horses, you'll be stuck and dragged into the water to your death
