Gors's Description

The tuiuiú (Jabiru mycteria) is a large water bird native from Mexico to Uruguay, and is the Brazilian Pantanal marshes' symbol bird. With a height of 1.4m and a wingspan of 3m, this bird soars gracefully over the rivers to hunt for fish, but it can also eat small rodents, insects, mollusks and reptiles. The female will build large nests on top of branches and lay up to five eggs, taking care of their young diligently until they become independent enough.
