Woodsy Owl was a character created by the United States Forest Service. Finding moderate success in his early years, Woodsy taught children all across the nation about the dangers of pollution and the steps needed to prevent further damage. Alas, the Woodsy was too good for this world, going out of style in the 90's and eventually being replaced with what we in the business call "A rather lame redesign." This tile depicts OG Woodsy, AKA the only true one, which had all of its costumes burned "beyond all recognition" as to not have Woodsy's name be tarnished by scandalous collectors or, even worse, pro-pollutionizers.

Fun fact! Prior to this year it was illegal to draw or depict Woodsy in any way shape or form, making this tile HIGHLY illegal! However the government, (Ever the masters of their priorities) opted to reverse this law in Division O of the 2021 Consolidated Appropriations Act. As a big fan of not breaking federal law, it's very nice to be able to draw the cartoon owl without breaking federal law, that's a huge plus for me.
