スローモーション (Slowmotion) is Akina Nakamori's debut single, released in 1982 and compiled in the album "Prologue". A prolific singer and actress, she met moderate success with this specific single but her popularity skyrocketed with following releases, especially "Shojo A". Her rebellious nature and provocative lyrics were a stark contrast to her contemporary rival, Seiko Matsuda, who was cast as more of a cute and endearing idol singer. Both singers defined most of the idol music genre in the 80's and has seen a resurgence thanks to the revival of City Pop.
